**Currently Corpus Christi Ship Channel is closed due to dense FOG**

Beginning at 6:00 am, March 11th the Inner Harbor, above (west of) the
Tule Lake Lift bridge, will be closed to marine traffic for a continuous
60 hour period, to allow removal of the Tule Lake Lift Bridge's center
span. The bridge span removal phase of the project is scheduled to end on
March 13th at 6:00 p.m. All shipping interests and Port related
industries are asked to make and implement contingency plans for this 3-
day disruption of marine traffic above the Tule Lake Lift Bridge. Also,
during the two weeks prior to this time there may be occasional 2 hour
channel closure periods to stage equipment in preparation for the span
removal.

Please note, if severe weather creates unsafe conditions during the March
11th to March 13th channel closure period the fallback 60 hour bridge span
removal period, i.e. channel closure, is scheduled to take place between
6:00 am March 18, 2008 and 6:00 pm March 20, 2008.
