COASTAL WATERS FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX
402 AM CDT TUE OCT 21 2008

MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS FROM BAFFIN BAY TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL
OUT TO 60 NAUTICAL MILES.

GMZ200-220045-
402 AM CDT TUE OCT 21 2008

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
A GENERALLY WEAK ONSHORE FLOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY AS
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE PERSISTS OVER THE NORTHERN GULF OF MEXICO.
ONSHORE FLOW WILL RESULT IN A GRADUAL INCREASE IN MOISTURE FROM
THE GULF. THE INCREASE IN MOISTURE WILL CONTRIBUTE TO ISOLATED
SHOWERS TODAY. A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE COASTAL WATERS
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND BRING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND A SLIGHT CHANCE
OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS...MAINLY NORTH OF PORT
ARANSAS. MODERATE TO STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW WILL DEVELOP IN THE WAKE
OF THE FRONT AND SHOULD GRADUALLY DECREASE TO MODERATE
NORTHEASTERLY FLOW THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON. WINDS WILL CONTINUE
TO WEAKEN THROUGH FRIDAY AND THEN BECOME ONSHORE LATE FRIDAY INTO
SATURDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTS EAST OF THE REGION.
