.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...SCATTERED SHOWERS
WILL LINGER OVER THE COASTAL WATERS THIS MORNING AS AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS. NORTHEAST WINDS AND
SEAS WILL STEADILY INCREASE THROUGH TODAY AS A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
AREA OVER THE NORTHWESTERN GULF OF MEXICO STRENGTHENS AND HIGH
PRESSURE SINKS SOUTHWARD ACROSS TEXAS. A MODERATE TO STRONG OFFSHORE
FLOW WILL OCCUR TONIGHT AND TUESDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO
THE AREA. HURRICANE IDA IS STILL EXPECTED TO MAKE LANDFALL ACROSS
THE NORTH/NORTHEASTERN GULF COAST ON TUESDAY. WINDS AND SEAS OVER
THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS WILL START A WEAKENING TREND
THROUGH THURSDAY. ONSHORE FLOW THEN RETURNS TO THE AREA AS HIGH
PRESSURE MOVES EAST OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO.
