Strong south to southeast winds will increase this afternoon as a low
pressure system deepens across west Texas. The strongest winds are
expected to develop during the afternoon hours across coastal areas.
Sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph can be
expected. Winds will begin to slowly decrease shortly after sunset.

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...STRONG ONSHORE
FLOW AND BUILDING SEAS WILL CONTINUE TODAY AND TONIGHT AS AN AREA
OF LOW PRESSURE ENTERS WEST TEXAS. WINDS WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH BY
LATE THURSDAY AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY ENTERS NORTH TEXAS AND STALLS.
ADDITIONAL MOISTURE WILL BUILD INTO THE WATERS DURING THE WEEKEND
AS AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH APPROACHES TEXAS. MOISTURE AND
INSTABILITY WILL BE SUFFICIENT BY FRIDAY TO PROVIDE A CHANCE FOR
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WHICH WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
