COASTAL WATERS FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX
424 AM CDT TUE JUN 28 2011

MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS FROM BAFFIN BAY TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL
OUT TO 60 NAUTICAL MILES.

GMZ200-282200-
424 AM CDT TUE JUN 28 2011

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM REMAINS OVER THE BAY OF CAMPECHE. THE LATEST
OUTLOOK FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER INDICATES A MEDIUM
CHANCE FOR THIS SYSTEM TO DEVELOP INTO A TROPICAL CYCLONE IN THE
NEXT 48 HOURS. NEVERTHELESS...THE SYSTEM WILL MOVE TO THE WEST-
NORTHWEST TOWARD THE NORTHERN MEXICO COAST WITH ASSOCIATED
MOISTURE STEADILY INCREASING ACROSS SOUTH TEXAS AND THE ADJACENT
COASTAL WATERS. THIS WILL LEAD TO INCREASING COVERAGE OF TROPICAL
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK AS THE
NORTHERN EDGE OF THE DEEPER MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM
MOVES ACROSS THE REGION. WIND AND SEAS WILL ALSO INCREASE IN
RESPONSE TO THIS SYSTEM REGARDLESS OF DEVELOPMENT. THE CHANCES FOR
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE THROUGH THE END
OF THE WEEKEND. MARINERS SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR LATEST
OUTLOOKS AND FORECASTS PROVIDED BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER
AND YOUR LOCAL NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE REGARDING THIS
SYSTEM AND ITS POTENTIAL IMPACTS ON WINDS AND SEAS IN THE GULF
WATERS.
