COASTAL WATERS FORECAST...UPDATED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX
607 AM CST FRI FEB 3 2012

MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS FROM BAFFIN BAY TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL
OUT TO 60 NAUTICAL MILES.

GMZ200-040115-
607 AM CST FRI FEB 3 2012

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
AREAS OF SEA FOG WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS...BUT
THE FOG IS EXPECTED TO BE NOT AS THICK AS HAS BEEN SEEN THE PAST
COUPLE OF DAYS...AS MODERATE ONSHORE FLOW AND WARMER SHELF WATER
TEMPERATURES WILL LIMIT FOG FORMATION. A MAINLY MODERATE ONSHORE
FLOW TODAY WILL DIMINISH TONIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY MORNING...AS
A COLD FRONT APPROACHES THE WATERS. RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE
TONIGHT...AS ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAY WITH THE APPROACH OF THE
FRONT. NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND
NEAR THE BOUNDARY ON SATURDAY...AS THE FRONT PUSHES INTO THE
WATERS SATURDAY AFTERNOON. OFFSHORE FLOW WILL BECOME MODERATE TO
STRONG BEHIND THE FRONT LATE SATURDAY. MODERATE TO STRONG
OFFSHORE FLOW AND BUILDING SEAS WILL CONTINUE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO
SUNDAY AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS SOUTHWARD OVER THE WATERS.
ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SATURDAY NIGHT AND
END BY SUNDAY NIGHT. OFFSHORE FLOW AND SEAS WILL SLOWLY SUBSIDE
MONDAY AND TUESDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE WEAKENS.
