MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS FROM BAFFIN BAY TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL
OUT TO 60 NAUTICAL MILES.

GMZ200-152245-
329 AM CST WED FEB 15 2012

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
AREAS OF SEA FOG WITH ISOLATED DENSE FOG SPOTS WILL CONTINUE THIS
MORNING AS SOUTHEAST WINDS CONTINUE TO BRING INCREASING LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE INTO THE AREA. RAIN CHANCES INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON AHEAD
OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT. THE FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THIS
EVENING SHIFTING WINDS TO THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST FOR THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS. A COASTAL TROUGH IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FRIDAY AND
CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF RAIN OR SHOWERS. AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY
AND PROVIDE A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS.
STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW WILL DEVELOP BY EARLY SATURDAY IN RESPONSE TO
A COLD FRONT. WIND SPEEDS WILL DECREASE LATE SATURDAY THEN BECOME
ONSHORE BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON...AS A SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM
MOVES EAST ACROSS THE GULF OF MEXICO AND SOUTHEAST UNITED STATES.
