COASTAL WATERS FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX
333 AM CST TUE FEB 28 2012

MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS FROM BAFFIN BAY TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL
OUT TO 60 NAUTICAL MILES.

GMZ200-282245-
333 AM CST TUE FEB 28 2012

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...DENSE SEA FOG
WILL CONTINUE OVER THE BAYS AND GULF WATERS INTO EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON. SLOWLY IMPROVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THE
AFTERNOON AS A WARM FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE WATERS AND WIND
SHIFTS TO THE SOUTHEAST. SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN TONIGHT
AS LOW PRESSURE DEEPENS ACROSS THE GREAT PLAINS. AREAS OF SEA FOG
WILL AGAIN OCCUR TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY AS MOISTURE POOLS AHEAD
OF A WEAK COLD FRONT WHICH WILL STALL NEAR THE COAST WEDNESDAY
EVENING. A MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY STRONG ONSHORE FLOW WILL THEN
PERSIST FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE WORK WEEK AHEAD OF AN ANOTHER
COLD FRONT. THIS FRONT WILL BRING A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. STRONG
OFFSHORE WINDS WILL THEN DEVELOP IN WAKE OF THE FRONTAL PASSAGE.
