Date:Friday, December 20, 2013

<span-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:red">ALERT UPDATE...Patchy Sea Fog has developed overnight...will continue through Saturday afternoon...should end a little sooner Saturday afternoon....

Patchy areas of dense sea fog have developed overnight along and just offshore of the middle and upper Texas coast. The dense sea fog will likely persist through the day, mainly for areas right along the coast, including areas around Galveston Bay and also Matagorda Bay with significant reductions in visibility likely with significant delays with ship traffic possible. For areas slightly further inland away from the coast, the fog should eventually lift by late morning before redeveloping this evening. Expect sea fog to persist through the night tonight and into the morning hours tomorrow with significant reductions in visibility continuing. The sea fog should gradually dissipate late in the afternoon tomorrow as a cold front pushes off the coast.
