A RE-ENFORCING SURGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE INTO TEXAS TODAY...INCREASING THE PRESSURE GRADIENT AND RESULTING IN A MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE FLOW LATER THIS AFTERNOON...WHICH WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MOST OF TONIGHT. A COASTAL TROUGH WILL DEVELOP ON FRIDAY...RESULTING IN AN INCREASE IN THE OFFSHORE FLOW TO STRONG LEVELS OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO. ALSO...THE COASTAL TROUGH WILL HELP TO PRODUCE AREAS OF LIGHT RAIN BY LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE COASTAL TROUGH WILL LIFT NORTH ALONG THE TEXAS COAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH RAIN CHANCES INCREASING ON SATURDAY. CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL DECREASE SUNDAY.
