 Daily Port Update

Subject:CORPUS CHRISTI Port Conditions
Date:Wednesday, August 30, 2017
Notice:Port of Corpus and all waterways north to Point Comfort remain at condition ZULU. The inner harbor is open to barge movements.

The USCG advised they hope to have the channel survey completed today. This basis the information should be reviewed tomorrow and the USCG is hoping to have the channel open daylight on 1st/Sept (with restrictions). This is not yet confirmed but what they are shooting for. We expect daylight only movements until sufficient ATON's have been replaced / repaired.

The Army Corps of Engineers advised they have surveyed the GIWW up to San Antonio bay and are continuing to move north.

There is a survey boat moving out of Brownsville that will hopefully start surveying the Matagorda ship channel tomorrow.

The Dredge "Bay Port" is being mobilized and should be in the area around 1-2/Sept.

As of 1130/today there were 18 ships at anchorage.

Drill ship update: There is no word yet on when the ship will be removed. I understand the ship is out of the channel so I believe everyone is hoping we can move traffic past this area when the channel opens. We hope to have good update tomorrow
