 Daily Port Update

Subject:CORPUS CHRISTI Daily Port Report
Date:Thursday, February 08, 2018
Priority:Normal
Notice:
As per Aransas Corpus Christi Pilots

We have reviewed the survey and the Pilots agree to return to 45 feet maximum draft. Transiting at this draft will require a positive tide.
The dredge will continue working the area removing the rest of the Harvey sediment and will let us know when they have completed operations.
If any depth conditions change, we may have to return to a reduced draft until all dredging is complete. I will let you know if anything changes.

Sincerely,

Capt. Jay Rivera
Presiding Officer

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
A weak to moderate northerly flow is expected tonight and Friday, as a coastal trough develops. Rain chances will increase on Friday and Friday night as an upper level jet and coastal trough provide a focus for showers and possible thunderstorms. The surface low and jet will move north overnight Friday night, bringing a more southerly flow and the potential for some sea fog developing. Another cold front is then expected to move through the area Sunday with strong northerly flow once again. Isolated to scattered showers are expected to develop with the front. Rain chances begin to diminish through Monday. Winds will also weaken through Monday and become more easterly on Tuesday.
