.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...
Moderate to strong onshore flow expected today as an upper level disturbance approaches from the west. Showers and thunderstorms may occur across the coastal waters today. The chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase tonight in advance of a cold front. The frontal boundary will move across the Middle Texas coastal waters Thursday with a weak to moderate northeast flow developing in its wake through Thursday night. North to northeast flow expected to increase to moderate levels Saturday, and moderate to strong Saturday night, as higher surface pressure behind a stronger cold front enters the Coastal Waters and combines with surface low pressure over the Bay of Campeche. The front will trigger isolated to scattered showers Saturday. Warmer moist air will then overrun the cooler surface air and contribute to a chance for patchy to areas light rain and isolated to scattered showers Sunday.
