Derrick Construction is requesting a Safety Zone across the Corpus Christi Ship Channel near markers 25/26, Thursday April 28, 2022 through Saturday April 30, 2022 between the hours of 10am and 2pm. (totaling 3 days) The Safety Zone is needed for safety of all parties for pipeline removal operations supporting the Corpus Christi Ship Channel Improvement project.
During the request time period, no vessels greater than 500GT will be able to pass through the Safety Zone. Inland barges and associated tugs and vessels less than 500GT will be able the transit the safety zone by making passing arranges with the MISS ROSE and RAYMOND. These vessels will be monitoring VHF channel 12/16 and operating on channel 19.
